Cathy McGovern

Cathy has more years marketing experience than she cares to declare! At the outset of her career she worked in Direct Marketing in Surrey,England gaining her initial 5 years experience with Legal & General, where she was ultimately appointed Strategy Development Manager for the Life and Pensions group. In 1995 Cathy moved to Ireland as Marketing Manager at Irish Life Finance, where she established the U.K. Property Desk and managed a variety of Direct Marketing campaigns, winning two IDMA Awards of Excellence.

In 1999 Cathy founded Inspiration with a determination to marry her experience of conventional Direct Marketing with the opportunities arising from Internet technologies. Over the last decade she has helped to build Inspiration as a dynamic, successful and progressive online marketing consultancy, whose clients include a range of blue-chip national and multi-national companies.

Cathy has published many articles on Online Marketing and co-authored the book “Practical eBusiness” for Enterprise Ireland. She has served as a Board member of the Irish Direct Marketing Association and has spoken at various industry events, including the Sales & Marketing Show, the IDMA Annual Congress, various IIA events and many more. Cathy has also founded Sweetsell, an online marketing agency specialising in software solutions for the Hotel and Hospitality sectors.

Cathy is responsible for all sales and marketing within Inspiration and manages all content development projects for clients.
