Description:

Inspiration was commissioned by the Railway Procurement Agency (RPA) to do a full review of its website. The approach adopted by Inspiration involved conducting interviews with key internal and external stakeholders, usability testing sessions and a full independent site audit & review by Inspiration consultants. The findings and subsequent report addressed areas for improving site content, relevance and interactivity, site usability, and improving internal management processes for the website.

Inspiration subsequently tendered for and won the website redesign and redevelopment, now live at www.rpa.ie . The site design process created over 16 seperate page templates. An interactive flash map was created for the home page to showcase all luas & metro line projects. The content management system employed was Microsoft Office Sharepoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007) an enterprise CMS. Bespoke applications & customisations were developed by our backend developers to deal with document management & archive, provide a multiple criteria based search facility, active directory integration and system workflow requirements. The site was also localized into Irish in line with State website requirements.

This website content rich, relevant and a provides a highly interactive easy to use resource to obtain all publically available information relating to the luas & metro lines being constructed by the RPA around Dublin.
