Linking your professional profile on LinkedIn to a company profile is so easily automated via the LinkedIn interfaces that many people have already done this without realising it. But for those of you who ‘missed the boat’ – below are some simple steps to fixing this.
1. Login to LinkedIn and navigate to your user profile page. Click on the “ADD A CURRENT POSITION” link.
2. Under the company name start typing in the company name and select the company name with the icon that automatically pops up. (If a company name dies not show up then it is possible that your company does not have a LinkedIn company page yet.)
4. Save the changes and your profile will automatically be linked as an icon in the company LinkedIn profile underneath the main company description.
Simple as that.
While you or your staff are editing profiles you may as well make sure to add the company websites to the profile/s. It is possible to add up to three links to a professional profile on LinkedIn. Click on the EDIT button to add more website links.
